In many of our missions, the population has endured war, torture, constant violent threats, abuse and natural disasters. In other areas, much of the population is HIV positive.
We respond to needs by establishing teams that promote self-help. We work with information, support and treatment to people severely affected by reactions to trauma. As a psychologist, you often work with coordinating and training local assistants or psychologists who in turn carry out the actions needed. In some cases, you hold therapy sessions, either with the help of an interpreter or independently if you master the language.
