Life on assignment

Life on assignment with MSF is exciting but challenging. Find out more about employment conditions, security, and the personal and professional challenges our staff may face.

Motivation

It is important for us that you feel strongly motivated for humanitarian work. Life on assignment is full of challenges and frustrations, but also satisfaction and personal growth. MSF projects can be in the most remote places in the world, often in areas with limited resources and amenities. This can mean that our staff work with simple medical equipment, eat the same food for long periods of time, are grounded after dark and have few leisure activities.

Before you go ahead with an application, it is important that you know how Médecins Sans Frontières work, what personal and professional challenges you may face and why you want to work with us.
